Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® S vs Sport Glide™

The Harley-Davidson® brand is rightfully known for incorporating exceptional power and modern features into body styles that are loaded with iconic class. However, there are dozens of current Harley-Davidson® models that each accomplish these goals in unique ways. Now that you are looking for a new motorcycle that balances your desire for aggressive power with the legendary heritage that is associated with the brand, you need to narrow down your options to a specific model.

For 2021, the Low Rider® S is a cruiser model that comes with blacked-out styling and edgy capabilities. On the surface, it has a lot in common with the chrome-laden Sport Glide™. Both of these models could be great options for you, but a closer look at the Low Rider® S vs Sport Glide™ for 2021 reveals their strong differences. Are you eager to learn about those differences with the help of our team at Twin States Harley-Davidson®?

Style

You can immediately spot differences between the 2021 Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® S and the Sport Glide™ when you park them next to each other. The Low Rider® S has blacked-out styling with cropped fenders and an offset, chopped-style exhaust finisher. In addition, this one-rider bike comes with spoke-style wheels with a dark bronze finish. The unique position of the seat in combination with the mid-mount foot controls and the cropped handlebars places the rider upright. You can choose between two dramatic color options for the body-colored elements.

The 2021 Harley-Davidson® Sport Glide™, on the other hand, is a two-passenger bike with chrome accents and bagger-style storage compartments flanking the rear wheel. It also has Mantis wheels with a machined finish and a powerful, two-in-one exhaust pipe. Like the Low Rider® S, it has a slim fairing and cropped handlebars. However, the forward position of the footboards along with the placement of the handlebars and the seat create a relaxed riding position. The Sport Glide™ is available in your choice of four colors.

Performance

The different rider positions of the 2021 Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® S and the Sport Glide™ are only one of the reasons why these two bikes deliver a different riding experience. The Low Rider® S is powered by a Milwaukee-Eight® 107 engine. On the other hand, the 2021 Harley-Davidson® Sport Glide™ draws its power from a Milwaukee-Eight® 114 engine. Both engines have an electronic sequential port fuel injection system, but the Low Rider® S has a slightly better torque rating.

The two models have the same braking system for superior control over speed management and stopping. This is a fixed, four-piston front system with a floating, dual-piston system in the rear. You will be able to test ride both models to compare their full capabilities when you visit our Harley-Davidson® dealership soon.

Features

The most significant differences between the features on the 2021 Harley-Davidson® Low Rider® S and the Sport Glide™ are their seating capabilities and their storage spaces. However, there are other differences that you need to be aware of. For example, the Low Rider® S has a 4-inch analog gauge for the tachometer, the fuel range, the trip meter, the clock, the fuel level and the odometer. It also has an elevated license plate bracket and auxiliary lighting.

The 2021 Harley-Davidson® Sport Glide™ has a 5-inch analog gauge for these readouts, and it uniquely comes with cruise control. Both models are equipped with turning signals, anti-locking brakes, a security system, a high beam headlight, engine diagnostics and more.
